Vertical mixed-flow dryer. Designed for drying wheat, barley and corn. Lighter crops such as rapeseed, oats and pulses can also be dried when handling procedures and temporary storage are provided. Especially suitable for regions with high harvest moisture. The dryer is used as part of a grain cleaning and drying line that also includes receiving, conveying and pre-cleaning equipment.
The dryer shaft is fully loaded until all three level sensors are triggered: emergency, lower-level and upper-level grain sensors. Heating fans start sequentially, drawing air through the heat exchanger or heating shaft, through the grain shaft and into the atmosphere. The exhaust chamber is equipped with dampers and dust-control elements to prevent product carry-over. The heated drying agent transfers heat to the product.
The heated grain mass moves downward through the shaft while fans remove moisture into the atmosphere. Dried product is discharged evenly by a roller table, while raw grain is loaded into the reserve shaft. This discharge and loading cycle provides a continuous drying process.
Drying-agent temperature in shaft dryers is regulated from 60 to 130 °C and selected according to grain type, initial moisture and the intended product use.
The number of boxes in the drying and cooling shafts is determined by the required drying-agent volume or atmospheric-air volume. The velocity of the exhausted drying agent must not exceed 6 m/s.
Direct-flow operation. Sensors are integrated into an alarm and automatic burner shutdown system.
Drying time adjustment and precise temperature control allow the residence time and target temperature regime to be set accurately.
The shaft design allows boxes to be replaced or extended without dismantling the shaft frame and frame walls.
Flexible fuel selection. Burner equipment can be removed and replaced without complex dismantling.
Electrical power demand is 15–20% lower. Minimal heated-air losses due to shaft insulation. Electricity savings can reach 30%.
Mounted on the front side of the dryer shaft and equipped with one or more fans, depending on the model. It supplies hot air from the heat generator through the dryer shaft. Air intake dampers help regulate fan airflow and prevent product lift inside the shaft.
Consists of alternating inlet and outlet boxes of pyramidal form for horizontal mixing. When the shaft is filled, air passes through the grain by means of one or more fans. Made of 2 mm galvanized steel and reinforced with 3–6 mm stiffeners.
Equipped with a batch-type drive. A conveyor is integrated into the discharge table and transfers grain to the loading hopper. The section regulates the amount of grain moving down through the dryer and directs it to conveying equipment. The roller discharge mechanism uses a geared motor to drive grooved rollers, providing an almost continuous product flow.
Equipped with a gas burner or diesel nozzle. The heat generator can be replaced with an indirect-heating furnace block.
