Heat-generating equipment determines the quality of the drying agent and the stability of the entire drying process. The section includes direct and indirect heating solutions, as well as burner systems selected for dryer capacity and product requirements.
Direct and indirect heating
Two principles for forming the drying agent solve different tasks. The choice depends on the product, temperature requirements and acceptable system cost.
Direct heating
With direct heating, the drying agent is formed directly by combustion products. This option provides high efficiency and is used where the drying technology permits this composition of the drying agent.
Efficiency up to 95–98%.
The drying agent contains combustion products.
Intended for feed grain and grade 2.
The system cost is lower than indirect heating.
Indirect heating
With indirect heating, combustion products do not contact the drying air stream. Heat is transferred through a heat exchanger, producing a clean drying agent at the outlet.
Efficiency 85–90%.
Clean drying agent.
For food and seed grain.
Higher cost due to the furnace block and heat exchanger.

ECOGRAIN solution selection
The burner, furnace block and heat-exchanger section are considered as one system. This makes it possible to match heat generation to the actual capacity and operating mode of a specific grain dryer.
